Mission

This department aims to raise individuals who develop a good command of the field of English Language and Literature and who manage to become modern, curious, critical, creative, social, empathetic, culturally rich, and sensitive to social problems. Our students are aimed to gain academic and professional competence in the areas of Western culture and literature, history, philosophy, sociology, and psychology during their education and training in the department of English language and English literature.

Vision

In parallel with the progress of the field of English Language and Literature at an interdisciplinary level in recent years, we aim to offer our students a wide range of learning and training areas and to encourage them to be researchers and productive individuals who can work in both national and international institutions. We, as academics, aim to become a department that makes high-level contributions to academic and cultural fields on a national and international scale.
