Our Student's Erasmus Traineeship Experience

Erasmus Traineeship at the University of Lisbon

My Erasmus traineeship at the University of Lisbon was hosted by ULICES (University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies) and was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore new academic possibilities and experience another culture first-hand. During my stay, I was introduced to innovative research examining how literature and storytelling can foster empathy and cross-cultural understanding, and I was fortunate to collaborate with members from different research teams. The experience was both transformative and inspiring, thanks to the wonderful people at ULICES and the critical, multidisciplinary work they pursue. Lisbon’s warmth, culture, and diversity made the experience truly unforgettable. This traineeship truly embodied the spirit of the Erasmus program—learning through collaboration, embracing diversity, and building lasting connections across borders.
