Jean Monnet Module Course

In our department, the Jean Monnet Module course, titled *“ECO-TRANS-ACT Jean Monnet Module”* and prepared by Associate Professor Dr. Işıl Şahin Gülter as part of a European Union project, has been granted support by the European Commission in Brussels. This innovative course content will combine Europe’s eco-values, the European Green Deal, the EU Biodiversity Strategy, and the Zero Pollution Action Plan with the transformative power of theater and performing arts as an effective tool for change in social and human sciences.

Framed by the objectives of Jean Monnet Actions in higher education, this module will be enriched primarily through the participation of international academics. It aims to foster dialogue between the EU’s environmental goals and higher education students through the ECO-TRANS-ACT Module. Designed as an elective course adhering to the principles of academic innovation, alignment with EU education ideals, and bringing these ideals to undergraduate students at Fırat University, the ECO-TRANS-ACT Module will be offered to students over a three-year period.
